Summer Family Photo Scavenger Hunt {w/ FREE printable}

When’s the last time your family had an adventure together and enjoyed the here and now?

When’s the last time you’ve built a family memory that started with, “remember when…..” and every family member was actively engaged?

When’s the last time your family foundation felt solid and that you were all connected together at the heart?

Even if it’s been a while for you, the time to take back your family is now!

What is The Strong Family Project?

The Strong Family Project Challenge {#strongfamilyproject} is here to help you make memories together, grow in faith and strengthen the bond of your family unit.

So often the busyness of life threatens to overshadow our family time and we are left as strangers passing in the night.  The Strong Family Project encourages families to schedule intentional time and actions over the next 65 days to create a stronger family bond.

We believe that families of any size and season of life can make intentional choices to unite their family, even if they’ve drifted far apart.

In fact, we’re so passionate about family that we’ve created The Strong Family Project printable pack filled with tools to help you make these intentional acts easy and stress free.  In this pack, you’ll receive conversation cards, date night jar cards, a calendar of activities, goal setting sheets, Scripture Writing Challenge and ways to teach kids to pray.  The best part is, it’s FREE!

To have access to your printable pack and other exclusive freebies, simply subscribe to Faith Along the Way using the form below.  Check your e-mail soon after to confirm your subscription and to grab the password to access our exclusive subscriber only page.

How Does The Strong Family Project Work?

1. Follow The Strong Family Project calendar with simple, intentional activities to strengthen your family. (Subscribe on the form above to have your calendar e-mailed to you.)

2. Every family is different, so activities should be planned according to your needs. Take as long as you need to complete the challenge, but make a commitment to finish it all the way through.

3. Activities don’t have to cost money!  In fact, some of the best fun we’ve ever had as a family has been free!

4. Join the Facebook Group, The Strong Family Project, to stay connected to a community of families to share your triumphs, struggles and to receive encouragement.  I treasure the connections I’ve made there and know you’ll love it, too!

Coming up with FUN and FREE intentional activities to build memories doesn’t have to be hard. In fact, this scavenger hunt is an EASY way to have fun together.

Summer Family Photo Scavenger Hunt

Don’t just have fun with the family, have an adventure!  Put modern technology to work as you celebrate summer with a photo scavenger hunt!

Ways to  use the Summer Family Photo Scavenger Hunt

1. Do every item in one grand day of fun, with pictures to prove the fun you’ve had together. The kids will be raving about your Family Fun Day for months after.

2. Consider this a family bucket list, where your goal is to complete it over the summer.  Schedule activities according to your schedule and free time, such as completing one activity over the weekend.

3. Find a Summer Fun Family, another family you’ll do life with over the summer, and have a race around town to see who can be the first to complete every item on the photo scavenger hunt.  Enjoy the here and now by celebrating the friendships of another family.

What’s your favorite fun activity to strengthen your family?

This is a great idea. Summer starts on Friday for us and I’ve been looking for some activities that aren’t typical. My kids are teens now but will be home a lot. I want to find some volunteer opportunities for all of us this summer so we’re not just indulging ourselves but helping others.

Teens will love a photo scavenger hunt and would especially love to compete with others to see who can finish the fastest. Have fun with it!

What a fabulous idea!! One of our favorite fun things to do as a family is to visit our local trails and parks. We get to enjoy nature and my daughter gets to discover new plants and bugs! Sometimes we even see some animals! We love being outdoors and exploring what the world has to offer!!

This week one of our fun family activities included going to a workshop at Home Depot to build a truck together. We all took turns hammering the nails and painting the truck. We all learned something new, practiced fine motor skills, encouraged each other and laughed together. The bonus is the activity was free and we got to bring our truck home which my son has been playing with ever since! We also went to a free family fun festival that we had never attended before. While that was fun and we did it together, I think the workshop was a better family experience – filled with bonding and memories that will stay longer than attending a festival that is similar to other festivals.
